Statement of Faith

Unity Academy for Boys exists to glorify God by equipping young men for a life of Christian leadership, academic excellence, and spiritual maturity. In submission to God’s revealed truth and in alignment with the standards of the International Christian Accrediting Association, Unity Academy affirms the following Statement of Faith as the foundation for its governance, curriculum, instruction, and community life:

  1. The Authority of Scripture
We believe the Bible, composed of the Old and New Testaments, is the inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of God. It is the final authority in all matters of faith, conduct, and truth. (2 Timothy 3:16–17; 2 Peter 1:20–21)

  2. The Nature of God
We believe in one sovereign God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Each is fully God, co-equal in power and glory, and active in creation, redemption, and the sustaining of all things. (Deuteronomy 6:4; Matthew 28:19; 2 Corinthians 13:14)

  3. The Person and Work of Jesus Christ
We believe Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God who became fully man through the virgin birth. He lived a sinless life, performed miracles, died on the cross as a substitutionary sacrifice for sin, rose bodily from the dead, ascended to the right hand of the Father, and will return in power and glory. (John 1:1–14; Philippians 2:5–11; 1 Corinthians 15:3–4)

  4. The Holy Spirit
We believe the Holy Spirit indwells and empowers all believers. He convicts the world of sin, regenerates the repentant, and enables Christians to live in obedience to God’s Word. (John 14:16–17; Romans 8:9–14; Galatians 5:22–23)

  5. The Fall and Redemption of Mankind
We believe all people are created in the image of God but are fallen and sinful by nature and choice. Salvation is available only by grace through faith in Jesus Christ, not by human works, and is necessary for reconciliation with God. (Romans 3:23; Ephesians 2:8–9; Titus 3:5)

  6. The Christian Life
We believe believers are called to pursue holiness and Christlikeness through the power of the Holy Spirit. The Christian life is one of worship, service, moral integrity, and personal discipleship. (Romans 12:1–2; Colossians 3:12–17; James 1:22)

  7. Human Dignity and Biblical Morality
We believe human life is sacred from conception, and each person is created male or female in the image of God. Marriage is a covenant between one man and one woman, and biblical sexuality is expressed only within that marriage covenant. (Genesis 1:26–28; Psalm 139:13–16; Matthew 19:4–6)

  8. The Church
We believe the universal Church is the body of Christ, composed of all believers. Local expressions of the Church are essential for worship, instruction, fellowship, and outreach. (Acts 2:42–47; 1 Corinthians 12:12–27; Ephesians 4:4–6)

  9. The Return of Christ and Eternal Destiny
We believe in the personal and visible return of Jesus Christ to judge the living and the dead. Believers will enjoy eternal life in the presence of God, while those who reject Christ will face eternal separation from Him. (1 Thessalonians 4:16–17; Revelation 20:11–15; Matthew 25:46)

This Statement of Faith is affirmed by the leadership and faculty of Unity Academy for Boys and forms the theological basis for our mission, curriculum, policies, and partnerships.
